Caring for your print
Archival pigment inks on heavyweight stock. Treated well, it will outlast the round it commemorates.
Hanging and light
Hang on two hooks, not one
The frame sits flat, stays level, and never swings. A spirit level (or a level app) for the top edge is the whole job.
Indirect light
Framed giclee prefers indirect light. Keep it out of direct sun - archival inks last decades, but no print loves a window that faces the afternoon.
Cleaning and placement
A soft dry cloth, never a spray
Dust the frame and its glazing with a soft, dry cloth. No sprays or cleaners: liquids can wick behind the glaze and mark the print, and glass cleaner will haze acrylic.
Keep it out of steam
Avoid bathrooms and other damp or steamy spots. A living room, hallway, office or bar wall is exactly where it wants to be.
